We have a job candidate that is deaf and requesting a sign language interpreter. Are we required to supply one?

You would be required to provide that as a reasonable accommodation. About the only exception would be if you could justify a hardship (which is not likely). You can reference it further here: https://www.eeoc.gov/facts/jobapplicant.html Good luck! Kathy Barany, Strategic Management Solutions

If your organization is subject to the American with Disabilities Act as Amended, then you are most likely required to provide a sign language interpreter to a deaf applicant.

I would imagine there are free services. Check here http://www.p12.nysed.gov/specialed/nyssd/interpreters.html
