Continuing C19 Practices in the Workplace
Posted by [email protected] on Jul. 7, 2021 / Subscribe 9
Although both NYS and Oneida County have both dropped their respective C19 States of Emergencies, I’m trying to collect data regarding the number of local companies who are continuing to: a. Conduct daily employee wellness monitoring (in person, electronically or otherwise) b. Conduct daily employee temperature checks. No company names, please...I'm just looking for some statistical data. Thank you!

We are keeping a close eye on the news and the numbers put out. We have also noticed a number of local business "requesting" that masks be worn in their establishment. We are preparing for another bout of travel restrictions and mask wearing so we've already been replenishing our stock of masks and disinfectants incase shortages get low again.

Hi Everyone- checking in on this thread- anything change at your companies recently? It seems there is an uptick in our area. I also read in the Wall Street Journal today that the Biden administration will be urging companies to mandate vaccines: https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-to-urge-businesses-to-require-covid-19-vaccine-for-workers-11628674201?st=jdgq2nkad19rycx&reflink=article_email_share

We are a manufacturing company and still continue to encourage employees to hand wash often, to "call-in" if covid symptoms are suspected, social distance and use good judgement when in public areas or traveling. We also require face masks to be worn for those unvaccinated but it is getting more and more difficult. We are not requiring proof of vaccination but we have caught several of those unvaccinated employees NOT wearing their masks. We are constantly keeping our eye on the CDC rulings and keeping up with all local requirements.

We continue to practice wellness screenings, handwashing and temperature checks upon entry, any vaccinated folks onsite may elect to be maskless and unvaccinated are required to mask and social distance.

No masks for vaccinated employees. All social distancing practices still in place unless all parties in a meeting or department are vaccinated and past 14 days. Still have daily check-ins with COVID-19 questions for unvaccinated em0lopyees. No temperature checks.

We are still conducting temperature monitoring upon entry into our offices. We're utilizing random 'Mask Audits', conducted by authorized staff only, to ensure compliance to mask guidelines (unvaccinated employees must be wearing masks). We are also requiring employees to provide vaccination documentation to HR if they'd like to be present in an office without a mask.

We no long require daily surveys to be completed/check-ins. The unvaccinated are expected to stay masked. We deal with the public and have maintained our germ shields.

We have dropped wellness checks and temperature checks, only the unvaccinated are required to wear masks.

I work in healthcare. Osha sent out new guidelines for certain healthcare facilities to continue daily wellness monitoring regardless of vaccination status. This is self reported and they are required to complete the check via our HRIS system. We have built a custom form to record this data.
