Thanks Linda. In the time that I posed this question, the CDC released new guidance no longer mandating masks. It changes so quickly!

Laura COVID is an evolving creature. Since my last response, we have begun requesting a copy of the vaccine card for those in our buildings in exchange for a sticker that goes on their name badge. If they have a sticker, this means that they are fully vaccinated and no longer have to complete the daily attestations form. The attestation form asks about their health for the day and the other CDC recommended questions around who they have been in contact with directly or indirectly. Those fully vaccinated can return to the previous Covid rules around not wearing a mask as long as you are not within 6 feet of someone else. When the numbers started climbing in the fall, we went to a 100% mask wearing unless you were in a room by yourself. Vaccines are allowing us to loosen these rules. Also hoping by loosening the rules, it will encourage employees to go get their vaccine. It's a slow process so embracing small victories!

According to a presentation by Mike Sciotti's a few weeks ago, he said we definitely should be asking and his advice was to ask for proof by requesting a copy of their vaccination card. We are only requiring a copy of the card if they take company time to get their vaccine and we are taking the tax credit to cover their wages. That way if we are audited, we have the documentation to support the credit. Otherwise, we are surveying based on their honor without requiring proof. This has allowed us to begin loosening our internal mask rules. We will watch the data and adjust accordingly.

Linda, you mentioned loosening your internal mask rules. How so? I'm looking for information regarding whether we need to enforce the CDC and NY mask wearing guidelines. Thanks
