Donation - Sleep In Heavenly Peace

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) had its start in a garage in Idaho. A project, that was started with the build of one bed for a single family developed into something a whole lot more. With wood left over from the first bunk, another idea was created. “Who else could benefit from this bunk”?

A simple post on Facebook sparked an unexpected response. What was thought would be a litter of requests from needy families, turned into a litany of local people eager to help and volunteer. The generosity of these volunteers was so surprising that it was no longer a search for one who needed a bed, but a question of how many beds they could provide. From there, the idea grew into reality.  SHP can make a difference.

SHP fully believes that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to their attention that the need for beds went far beyond Idaho neighborhoods, they stepped up and took initiative.

Since 2012 SHP has grown into a nationwide non-profit organization with numerous chapters, including our local chapter in Utica, NY.

If a child needs a bed, SHP makes sure the get one.  Their motto: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®

Donations - SHRM Foundation

The SHRM Foundation is a values-based charity organization whose mission is to champion workforce and workplace transformation. It provides research-based HR solutions for challenging inclusion issues facing current and potential employees, scholarships to educate and develop HR professionals and opportunities for HR professionals to make a difference in their local communities. The SHRM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management.
